Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Cambodia

We spent one day in the Port of Singapore

Infinity Pool

Then we sailed up the Saigon River to the Port of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Traffic was so crazy in Vietnam and Cambodia, but somehow organized!  Scooters everywhere.  Just walk and don't stop, we were told ...

Power Management

Ben Tranh Market was a lot of fun

Pho!  Liz's favorite Vietnamese dish
Saw things like this so many times you can't count them

Next we flew to Cambodia and first visited the National Museum

Took a Riverboat on the Mekong River delta

Visited an orphanage started by an SAS alumni. This young lady liked my Rockies cap and sold me the very nice one on my head...

Cambodian National Palace

Next we visited the spots in Phnom Penh dedicated to the dark days following the American vithdrawal from Vietnam and Cambodia. Cambodians were imprisoned, tortured and killed by the new government officials of the Khmer Rouge.

The Killing Fields

Next we flew to Siem Reap to visit two century old temples of ancient Cambodian times. First a nice luncheon picnic banquet on the shore of the moat around AngKor Wat.

Angkor Wat relection pool at sunset

Sunrise at the same place

Sandstone carvings told stories of the ancient times

Angkor Tom jungle temples

These ants moving along remined me of the traffic in all the cities we visited
